Biography of Jo-Ann Lizio
Jo-Ann Lizio, a fine artist, who was born in Peekskill, NY now resides in Naples, Florida. Lizio is classically trained, and received her BS in Art Education from the State University College at Buffalo, NY. Graduate work culminated in a MA in Art from the College of New Rochelle, NY. where she remained as Chair of the School of Arts and Sciences Art Department, Assistant Professor of Art for ten years.
Jo-Ann Lizio has garnered accomplishments with works exhibited nationally, as well as in private and corporte collections. Her work is also found in the permanent collections of the von Leibig Art Center, Naples, Fl., the college of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, NY and the Burchfield Penney Museum, Bullalo, NY. Recent exhibitions have included solo shows at the Deland Museum of Art, Deland, FL., The Finn Gallery, Greenwich, CT., Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL. and at the Ronald Regan Washington National Airport in Washington D.C.. Recent group shows include "Art of Flight" at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers FL among others. The artist was awarded First Place in the Vintage Aircraft Catagory EAA Air Venture Museum in Oshkosh, WI. She was also a featured artist in the Naples Museum of Art Annual Artist tour for two years.
